The Wally Boys did make some pretty quick work of a heavily unbalanced field. 1 Beacon, 1 Somerset, and 5 Colavita kids. Somerset made a move o the first half of the lap (flat section by the lake), but was chased down by Colavita for his team mate(Colavita Kid who won is the GS cup points
leader - Orange jersey - Who knew the 12 yr. olds had a GS cup series) When they came through the finnish the first time, the field was still together. Up the hill Chris attacked, but was chased down by Colavita again working for their team sprinter - points leader. Soon after his attack he dropped, his job done. The field was now suffiecently tired, and at the line Tim started his sprint from 4 riders back. He passed 1 rider, then 2, and just as he was getting ready to pass the last rider, the finnish line jumped up and he got a hard fought 2nd. The Colavita rider in the orange points leader jersey took 1st. Somerset took 3rd. Chris came charging up to the line 30 seconds later passing 1 Colavita rider and holding off another to grab a very respectable 8th place against a very stacked field. Dad did get a couple pics this time. Thanks for all the emails and encouragement, the boys both love hearing the Captains words of wisdom, advice and tales of heroic superhuman effort. See you tomorrow at a shredded Greentree.
